Seymour, Tank join ‘PFW in Progress’
Written by Paul Perillo on June 8, 2009 – 11:09 am -Andy, Erik and I made it to another Patriots Charitable Foundation Golf Tournament here at The International in Bolton, Mass., and were joined by Richard Seymour and Tank Williams on “PFW in Progress.” While neither considers himself a threat to compete in the golf tournament, and thus depriving themselves a chance to putt on the world’s largest green, both were excited about the prospects of a new season and some of the changes set to take place on defense.
Seymour mentioned the differences with Rodney Harrison and Mike Vrabel no longer in the huddle but expressed enthusiasm regarding the likes of Pierre Woods and Shawn Crable, who he mentioned was one of the fastest players coming off the edge that he’d seen.
When asked about his pending free agency and the potential for the slumping economy to play a role in his next contract, Seymour joked about his desire for “a new stimulus package.” (He also joked about us being a Division 3 radio show, but that’s not really relevant to this discussion).
Williams is just happy to be in uniform again after another serious knee injury ended his first year as a Patriot before it got started. After a few jokes about Fred Kirsch’s man-crush, Williams expressed excitement over his potential as a hybrid-type player, which is something he’d done earlier in his career as well as in New England last year.

Keep it up with the guests on the show. Some of the best pfw in progress moments are when you have guests.

I don’t think any players did. But I did my best to pick up the slack. Plus, tune into today’s PFW in Progress to hear about the lady-friend Paul met at the Tournament. I actually had to leave the the cute couple alone for a few minutes so they could get to know each other better!
