32 continues to impress

Well, we still don’t know his name, but the RB wearing jersey 32 is standing out among the other three backs in camp. Good speed, good hands, good technique in drills.

Slater starting off on D

Written by Erik Scalavino on May 3, 2008 – 10:31 am -

Fifth-round draft pick Matthew Slater, the man without a position at this point, is wearing a blue pinney over his white jersey and is running through drills with the defense right now. He started off Friday’s practice with the offense. He was one of several players to take part in kickoff return drills Friday.

They’re all here … sort of

Written by Erik Scalavino on May 3, 2008 – 10:26 am -

Looks like all 27 players who took part in Friday’s double session are back again this morning.

Can’t say the same for the overwhelming majority of slacker media types who were in attendance yesterday. Fewer than 10 of us are here today, including Patriots Today’s Brian Lowe and Kristina Akra, and reporters from the Globe, Herald, and ProJo.

No, I’m not bitter…

Good play by Wilhite

Written by Erik Scalavino on May 2, 2008 – 3:41 pm -

He just broke up a deep pass by O’Connell, as the intended receiver unintentionally knocked him down, and he nearly came up with an INT in the process.

O’Connell’s been hot and cold today. He has great zip on his passes, though a number of them have been a bit off target. Chalk it up to first-day jitters. I’m sure he’ll be fine, despite the negative-nancy pessimism of Andy Hart.
