I’m Confused

I was watching ESPN and they were showing different times when Tom Brady has been injured during his career. They showed the AFC Championship Game against the Steelers when Brady left the game with a knee injury and was replaced by Drew Bledsoe. Then I saw something odd. Despite being hurt, Brady was on the sideline cheering and supporting Bledsoe. I don’t understand. How can a player be hurt and still support his team? Why wasn’t he sitting on the bench all by himself? I don’t get it. I guess I’m just used to watching LaDainian Tomlinson. Wait, according to LT, he was only 50 percent. Perhaps Brady was 60 percent and that extra 10 percent allowed him to be a leader and not quit on his teammates. Yeah, that must be it. At least Tomlinson is a class act. Just ask him.

L.T. stands for Little Tears. Mabey with the cold weather he had Frozen tear ducts. Thanks for the blog.

  2. LT Says:

No MAN! Yo got it all WRONG! I showed class to the Pats by not showing them up in the game by playing. If I had played man, I would have total embarssed your guys and that won’t be classy would it? btw, Richard Seamour has no class - and it comes from his coach.

  3. Boxboro Ben Says:

Right when he took the field, I just knew that LT was an excellent http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5939431440827939318

  4. Ernie Says:

Who cares about L. Tomlinson?? He is the one who will live with the memory of sitting on the bench when he could have done something, even if it was just supporting his team.

He didn’t play and had no affect on the game’s outcome. Fine by me!! Like I said, who cares about L. Tomlinson.

    GO PATS

  5. Craig from Boxborough Says:

Since you were watching Espn you probably saw kipers updated top ten and he had the patriots taking Aqib Talib, what do you think?

  6. Robb Deep Says:

LT showed no class at all, absolutely no class, and maybe it comes from his head coach.

I’m sure he’ll be sitting on his couch with his helmet and visor on watching the Super Bowl on his Vizio…..

  7. Money for Chris Says:

SCREW LT he is a fraud he will never be a great legend because legends are measured by what they do in the playoffs

  8. Rene Says:

    hehehe…

  9. Allan Says:

Enuf with the LT talk!!!! Time to get down and boogie……Tom Brady & Co. are going into nice weather…………….smells like a blowout to me. It is damn time to get Junior Seau his ring……..and deserved so. He came to the Pats after a call from BB….not anyone else….BB!! and if that’s not true class, I don’t know what is! Also, the Pats have been through too much this season for it to end in a loss. I foresee 41-14 Pats!!!! May the so-called pundits rest in peace, not to mention the 72 Dolphins :)

  10. Schultz Says:

Its time to choke…..the rest of America is tired of hearing the cheating and unsportsman like attitude of your coach and your players. I (as well as others) have NEVER routed for a NY team in my life time for any sport. However, this time the wave of un popular feelings exist amoungst sporting circles against your around the country. Yes, the Miami did it in class and toughness…….What will history write about cheaters and convicts? We will have to wait until the 3rd of February, Andy Rooney and those of use who love the sport for the results while we so dislike the Pats and their attitude.

  11. Baz Says:

LT schmell-tee. So many folks talk about what a class guy he is, and he probably is in many ways…but his vocation is football, and he certainly doesn’t seem to take adversity for him or his squad with all that much class.

  12. Pat Fan in Houston Says:

    HA!

  13. Wayne Says:

Hey Schultz and the other Patriot Haters, Nobody likes it when the lion catches the baby zebra, but when you see the raw power of the animal before the kill, you can’t help but to respect this perfect killing machine. What I’m trying to say is ; even if you turn from the Super Bowl to the Animal Planet channel you will be bummed out on Sunday.

  14. Tom in Newport Beach Says:

Andy Rooney? Isn’t he a crazy old man? Oh, and don’t drag Animal Planet into this. Don’t they do the Puppy Bowl on Super Sunday? Why does some german guy hate puppies but loves cranky old men?
As for the topic, at least we know LT wasn’t cheating because he sure wasn’t trying.

  15. Robb Deep Says:

Hey Schultzy… enjoy cheering for a loser bud… maybe LT has room on his couch for you and Andy “Douchebag” Rooney to watch the SuperBowl. The Giants will loose and the Patriots will be the Super Bowl Champions for what is it? 4 times in 7 years…

Since you were wondering what history will write about the Patriots here it is:

    The greatest sports franchise ever!!

    Keep hating…

  16. Boxboro Ben Says:

Don’t worry, Schultz, LT will teach you how to soak cork

  17. big giant Says:

18-1* Cheaters never win… oh wait i guess they do.

    bELIeve

    GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. big giant Says:

IF… the pats are supposedly the greatest team ever and then lose to the GIANTS on the 3rd (a given) what then does that make the giants?

    Any comments Bill Bellicheat?

  19. Robb Deep Says:

IF…. If the world stops spinning the New York MIDGETS might stand a chance.

How quickly the Giants fans forget all the work Bill did there in NY… you Giants fans should be kissing his ass for those two SuperBowls.

I am sure once they loose they’ll be back to bashing their own teammates and coaches like the classless chumps they have been the last few seasons.

  20. Tom From Cardiff Says:

I genuinely can’t understand where the trend of hating the pats comes from. The spygate saga is hardly grounds for the bile that spills out of some quarters, and although the Pats are undefeated this year, to a man the players and coaches have been dignified and humble in victory. The organization is always respectful towards their opponents- can you imagine the Chargers or Steelers at 18-0? How about the Bengals or Riders? I hate the Colts, but at least they behave themselves.

I know it’s pure jealousy, and the opinions of people who simply wish they were from New England shouldn’t count in this discussion, but it still stings to have a great achievement run down.

It really is the behaviour of a petulant child. Can anyone provide a logical argument why the Pats shouldn’t get respect and accolades for their play this year? Regardless of whether they win the Super Bowl?

One last thing- if you’re set on trashing the Pats, could you at least learn to spell? It might make you seem slightly less ignorant.

  21. Paul in LA Says:

    Shultze and Big Giant…

    Waaaaaaaaa!!!

  22. Paul in LA Says:

    Shultz and Big Giant:

    You guys dropped your rattle.

  23. Randy Says:

maybe its because Brady didn’t have a helmut like Tomlinson (darth vader look)

  24. Doctor X Says:

Blast!! Randy beats me to the joke!

For the Haters, I agree with Tom from Cardiff: try to spell like you passed the third grade. Even MFY fans have better aptitude.

I think the hate comes from jealousy. The Pats were never a “dynasty” team one could latch on to in the past. There are a lot of Steelers, Cowboys, and Niners “fans” who simply latched on to the teams when they were winning. Either their teams failed–like the Pats in those years–or they had no team to root for. I have always been a Pats fan . . . but it is hard not to root for someone during the playoffs.

In fact, the Pats were one of the “joke” teams. Their red and white looked silly, and their logo looked like a colonial squatting to excrete a football. Next to Tampa, they were the “fail” team. I considered it an irony of epic proportions that the two “fail” teams one their SBs back-to-back. This is a bit like the White Sox following the Red Sox in 2004-05.

Well . . . nice. The Little Engine could. Now it was time for the Pats to go back to obscurity. Only they did not. HAD they been the established dynasties, they would only “returning to greatness.”

I think fans are jealous that their established teams have not returned to such glory, while the Pats have, and the other teams have also not achieved the success.

For, just as there were lovers of the Steelers-Cowboys-Niners, there were irrational haters of all of them.

  25. Doctor X Says:

. . . and I recommend “Haters” learn to spell only to spell “won” as “one.”

  26. Justin from New Hampshire Says:

I think I love you, Tom.
