Tom C., I’d like your opinion on this roster setup…

OL(9): Koppen, Light, Neal, Mankins, O’Callaghan, Kaczur, Britt, Hochstein, Oldenburg

The Pats seemed high on Oldenburg that they drafted him in the 5th round and might view him as a promising developmental type that the team won’t risk on waivers. Then again I haven’t really seen in camp, so it’s guesswork on my part. My opinion is that Ts are more valuable than Gs.

    QB (3): Brady, Cassel, Testaverde

No brainer here. From what I’ve read, MG hasn’t done enough to qualify for a roster spot.

RB/FB(5): Maroney, Faulk, Evans, Mills, Morris

Depth is a concern and with 3 RBs down in the AFCCG at Indy, keeping 5 makes sense.

    TE(2): Watson, Brady

It looks like Thomas will stay on the PUP. Mills can play TE in a pinch.

WR(6): Moss, Stallworth, Brown, Welker, Gaffney, Caldwell

This is based on talent, but Kight keeps making a case for himself by playing on special teams. I wonder if they can get a mid round draft pick for Caldwell?

DL(6): Seymour, Warren, Wilfork, Green, Wright,
They could keep 6 for 7, but the first 5 spots are locks. Brown needs to keep his head out of his rump. There’s a logjam for the final 1 or 2 spots.

LB(8): Bruschi, Vrabel, Colvin, Thomas, Izzo, Seau, Woods, Lua

They could keep nine, but imo, Alexander hasn’t wowed anyone and heading into his 4th season in the system, he needs to. I see no potential at this point. I keep reading about him getting burned on pass coverage. Considering he’s not big to begin with, that’s not good. I’m reading good reports on Lua.

DB(11): Samuel, Richardson, Hobbs, Gay, Sanders, Harrison, Wilson, Andrews, Hawkins, Meriweather, Wesley or

Samuel’s a moron if he misses RS games. He’ll be here. I like Richardson. Wesley has good size to be a gunner on teams and he’s young. Tory James was terrible last season with Cincy. IMO, he’s this year’s version of Eric Warfield. I wonder if Hawkins is on the bubble? He looked worn down toward the end of last year and he’s another year older.

Special teams (3): Paxton, Ghost, Baugher
The only surprise is Baugher. Miller was hurt last season and he’s a punter! Baugher is younger and cheaper and imo, the job is his if he does well in PS games.

    I hope you catch this.

Not during the game, lets glue it on TV, thats the beauty on football, not waste time on typing.

Hey Tom, Paul, Andy, is there a schedule that you guys follow for Ask PFW?
