The new Brady Bunch

When Kyle Brady was signed, most people believed it was to be almost like an extra tackle. Although, watching Brady in practice, it appears the Patriots expect to use him a lot in the passing game as well. In drills, Tom Brady routinely dumps the ball off to Kyle, while the outside receivers drive the defensive backs down the field. With David Thomas injured, Brady could see a lot of passes come his way as an underneath receiver early in the year. Also, with Brady’s imposing size (The guy is a monster) he should be very effective as a red zone receiver. Look for No. 88 to be on the receiving end of those Tom Brady’s 2-yard touchdown tosses this season.

    Tom,

Thank you for blogging. Great job.

Have you seen any progress from Garret Mills ? Last year he was not doing well, so Patriots had to place him on IR to keep him on the roster. I think Patriots were hoping to use him in similar way to Larry Centers/Wes Welker.

same comment as the last writter I’m hoping Mills could be the next Chris Cooley of the Redskins. I’m hoping Garret Mills can be a versatileTE/FB

i think people forget that early in his career KB caught a lot of passes (for a TE) it was in JAX when They started to emphsize (sp) the run that his numbers declined. He’s always had good hands for a guy his size. So I wouldnt be surprised if his numbers improve, if he gets the reps.
