I’m bored
Who do you guys want in round 5? Michael Coe? Siler? Desmond Bishop? A center? Give itt o me because I sure as heck don’t know. I’m throwing out Whitworth TE Michael Allan.

desmond bishop
also do you think the Pats paucity of picked prospects (see what I was doing there?) is an attempt to leave open some cap space to sign samuel long term? if yes, I love this draft, if no…meh so far
April 29, 2007 at 1:58 pm
I like Siler, i think he’s fallen far enough to be of value
April 29, 2007 at 1:58 pm
C’mon TOM only one hour left on the AIR, im holding out hope for Siler in the 5th! BOOK IT
April 29, 2007 at 1:59 pm
I’m going with Abbate, the Bishop, back to back LB surprising everyone.
Sorry for all the work you guys set up for the Draft for the Patriots to Redskins on you.
April 29, 2007 at 2:00 pm
At least we know the patriots are not going to trade this pick:))
April 29, 2007 at 2:00 pm
Desmond Bishop
April 29, 2007 at 2:01 pm
I can see myself being unhappy with the pick, so yeah, another TE is my bet too. God forbid a linebacker or corner. Plus it’ll be funny to hear Andy orgasm over Michael Allen like Fred with Welker.
April 29, 2007 at 2:01 pm
I want H.B. Blades personally because he has the best name in the draft and although he is a bit small for the pats system, he’s a good run stuffer.
April 29, 2007 at 2:03 pm
Like everyone I want to see some linebackers picked. I’m by no means an expert on talent but there are a few guys that seem pretty good.
I liked what I saw from both available Oklahoma LBs Alexander and Latimer and also Jon Abbate out of Wake Forest when i watched them this year. See any interest in any of these three?
April 29, 2007 at 2:04 pm
Anyone who can play LB…
April 29, 2007 at 2:04 pm
I don’t think they have ignored corner, Jay. Meriweather has the potential to cover the slot in our Nickle package, put that with Hobbs and Samuel with Gay in the Dime and thats a solid secondary
April 29, 2007 at 2:05 pm
I would have no problem with a tight end. We can always use another one now that David Thomas broke his foot. But we need to remember that we still have Garret Mills. After a rookie season that ended quickly it should be intresting to see what he does.
April 29, 2007 at 2:13 pm
Denman or Coe - I’ve given up on LB.
April 29, 2007 at 2:14 pm
I think they go for Wendling, the S out of Wyoming.
April 29, 2007 at 2:14 pm
Andy Katzenmoyer. Book it.
April 29, 2007 at 2:16 pm
I think bishop or siler
April 29, 2007 at 2:17 pm
Could one of the next 2 be Darius Walker? like faulk can catch out of the back field, faulk is kind of costly. And obviously Charlie connection
April 29, 2007 at 2:18 pm
i would be ok with Walker. A nice little player.
April 29, 2007 at 2:20 pm
Doubt they choose a LB - woud like Bishop…..
Otherwise, OT Chris Denman although a bit early or if defense CB DeAndre Jackson
April 29, 2007 at 2:20 pm
There’s still CB/Safety types on the board Corey Graham NH, Darin Stone Me, Coe, Arline. These are the type of guys we need…Qb Korridi?
April 29, 2007 at 2:22 pm
Take Siler. The guy could end up being a team captain 3 or 4 years from now.
April 29, 2007 at 2:22 pm
its gotta be one of the following: Abbate, Blades, Siler, Bishop, Coe, Arline, Irons, Scott, or Troy Smith. If none of the above, I’m gonna lose it. I don’t mind we haven’t drafted a CB if that means we will pay $$ for asante, but the longer we wait the more leverage he has. And we have some little-known talent at LB in Woods and Alexander, maybe BB thinks they are gonna step it up this offseason?
April 29, 2007 at 2:23 pm
I have Rufus Alexander, David Irons and Brandon Siler here for the Pats- I would’ve jumped on Courtney Taylor but the WR’s are stacked right now- think Frank is nervous about Welker making the squad?
April 29, 2007 at 2:25 pm
Rufus would not make me unhappy. We can start passing out the Rufus T-shirts.
April 29, 2007 at 2:26 pm
Lets go with Siler! I know it would be a project at linebacker but we have to start getting Younger at linebacker somehow.
April 29, 2007 at 2:26 pm
Travis, Nah. Welker will narrowly lead the Pats in catches, barring injuries. While we won’t have any great fanatsy receivers, Brady is back among the top 3 fanatasy QBs.
April 29, 2007 at 2:27 pm
I think the Patriots are being wise in this year’s draft, but it sure does make for a boring draft weekend. I’d love to see Abbate, Siler, Melvin Bullit, and some CB
April 29, 2007 at 2:27 pm
Either a LB Siler, Bishop or Darius Walker RB Notre Dame
April 29, 2007 at 2:28 pm
What abbout DeShawn Wynn? I don’t like him but there’s the Florida connection…
April 29, 2007 at 2:30 pm
Arron Rouse the saftey from V-Tech
April 29, 2007 at 2:30 pm
Tackle… can’t believe it
April 29, 2007 at 2:31 pm
And we’re all wrong…. gotta love these guys haha!
April 29, 2007 at 2:32 pm
Clint Oldenburgh!!:?!?! WTF?
April 29, 2007 at 2:32 pm
oldenburg
April 29, 2007 at 2:33 pm
Siler and Abbate are both juniors. They may be projects, but they probably have more natural ability than the trio of Mays, Alexander, and Woods put together, Just give one of them a shot so we can all shut up. If it doesn’t work, at least we tried.
April 29, 2007 at 2:34 pm
Oldenburg. wow. I dont even know what to say.
April 29, 2007 at 2:36 pm
Well, I guess it is a developmental Tackle.
4 LBs in round 6.
April 29, 2007 at 2:39 pm
I think what the Pats are doing this year is proof of how bad this draft is… There are very few guys that NE loves and if they’re not available they’re getting picks for next year. I’m not a fan of the tackle- but I hardly know anything about him.
April 29, 2007 at 2:41 pm
Let’s get an offensive tackle….
April 29, 2007 at 2:44 pm
At least the 6th round will be exciting, even if none of the guys are going to make the team.
April 29, 2007 at 2:45 pm
I know we are loaded at wr but I still hold out hope for us to get David Ball from UNH
call me a homie but I have followed him and the guy has outstanding hands…
April 29, 2007 at 2:53 pm
I am a Pats fanatic in Dallas…i work at SMU and have watched Justin for a couple years. He is Mike Vrable-like…a beast on the field who works his tail off. Very patriotic like in that he is very smart, hard working and a great guy. Not a big program guy, but a patriot.
April 29, 2007 at 3:26 pm
Well, we just missed out on Bishop. Will we go for Siler?
April 29, 2007 at 3:27 pm
Even with the Moss trade and Meriwether, this draft has been (so far) a huge flop. Oldenburg?? Passing on the ILBs up top makes no sense, although they can redeem themselves by getting Siler, Abbate or Bishop. Does BB have so much confidence that Asante will get signed, that they can ignore CB, and pass on Chris Houston? Ryan Smith, CJ Wilson, Courtney Brown, David Irons are still out there, but each have problems and are strictly nickel.
April 29, 2007 at 4:05 pm
You got to be kidding me…Where the heck do the Pats find these guys?…How can they pass on Siler, Abate, Harris, etc., etc. at LB when this is one of their most pressing needs. I’m not sold on the Moss thing, but I’ll keep an open mind. I just would have liked the Pats to grab an inside linebacker…Who the hell is left?….Who is the this clown out of SMU?
April 29, 2007 at 10:14 pm
Boring was an understatement… I hope BB put aside some money for Assante and is putting together a package of some of next year’s picks for Lance Briggs so as to top off this year’s acquisitions….
Can only hope…
February 27, 2008 at 3:47 pm

February 27, 2008 at 4:12 pm
