Just an FYI on a player a lot of Patriots fans are interested in, Brandon Siler. I just heard that Siler has a bad knee that he may need surgery on, causing his monumental slip down draft boards. People questioned Siler’s speed to begin with, so if he needs surgery on top of that, it makes sense that he would slide this far.

Thanks for the Update Tom, when it comes to the draft your on top of it.

That would go to explain the slip, but it seems awfully short-sighted to me. Pick him, throw him IR or the practice squad, and I think he plays dividends down the road. I went to UF, so I follow the Gators closely, and Siler was every bit as good as Andra Davis, and almost as good as Channing Crowder. Take a gamble. If he’s healthy, he’ll be very good.

The Pats are in a great position to get a QB as an undrafted FA. They only have 2 QBs on the roster, and everyone on earth knows it. If you were an undrafted QB, I’d have to think you’d take that into consideration when signing.
